On the road to San Francisco

Hey everyone
We are on our way to San Fran, we are doing the drive up Highway 1. Amazing scenery. We have stopped off at a little beachside town called Monterey for the night. On our way here we had to pass through a national park which is a mountain range. I was driving and there were lots of windy, curly bends. Then we realised we only had about 1/8th tank of petrol (gas) left in our car..... Holy crap, we were sh!tting ourselves that we wouldn't make it to the nearest town which was about 25 miles away. Talk about stressful. Finally we made it to the nearest town, Big Sur and put some gas in, not before too long, I am sure we would have run out in a few more miles. It is weird driving on the other side of the road and car but I am used to it now because we have been here for so long.

Anyway, being on the way to San Fran means we are on our way home. We are both HANGING out to go home and see our loved ones. I can't wait. I changed my flights I am nowflying to Melbourne instead of Adelaide. Ben is in Melbourne for business so will meet him there on Tuesday, YAH!! We come back to Mildura on Wednesday night, then guess what I am back to work on Thursday..... urgggh. Not sure how useful I will be, but anyhow, got to get back somehow. Can't wait to get back to gym and work off this excess weight. I am tired of all the crap food here. We have been trying to keep to a budget and also it has been about convenience.

The countdown is on..... woohooo

Hey Kerry - thanks for stopping by on my blog, it is so good to hear from you. Phat Camp sounded awesome. Sue sent me some pics which was great to see. I was spewing when I knew that I would miss it this year, but knew I would have fun here too. Yeah Tom was pretty hot. I am not a fan but he was really great with all the fans there, there were literrally THOUSANDS. He signed autographs and took pics for about 50 mins with the crowd. Katie looked a bit dazed.

Hello Lauren - great to hear from you too. Yeah I know we have had an amazing time in the USA. I know it is not the USUAL thing for everyone. Which reminds me I must post our pics of Elton John. That was a cool experience too. I must learn how to post video too cause I filmed his singing too and it SOUNDS amazing.

Ok everyone going to check out the town here at Monterey, hope everyone is good, no time to check blogs but thinking of you all. Can't wait to be back in OZ.

Actually Jodie, I wish I was with you is why I'm stalking you on your trip. I've been 4 times and would go again tomorrow. San Francisco is my favourite place. I don't know why, I just like it. That coast line you drove along is absolutely magnificent isn't it?
Don't miss alcatraz, pier 39 etc when you're there. I'm really jealous now.

Jodie it sounds like you have just had the most fabulous trip! I, too am jealous!!! Have a safe trip home, bet you are looking forward to your own pillow again! (that's the thing i usually miss the most!)
