| So here comes to New York!! |
Hi everyone!!!
Long time no post, I have been so busy.... I really want to sit down and write a full journal of what I have been up to, but for the moment it will just have to be a few dot points with not too much detail.
To say this trip has been full on would be an understatement, but I must quickly add it has been the absolute trip of a lifetime. I have got to see and do the most amazing things, and most of all, meet some wonderful wonderful people. For me going to the NBA basketball and the pro baseball games would have to be the absolute highlights, with Niagara Falls coming in at equal first. Every day there is some sort of highlight for us all.
Last night we had our farewell dinner and many of our host families that we have stayed with over the four weeks came along to say goodbye. I got a little bit emotional because our little team of four has been like a family. We have got along so well, it really is unbelievable. We have been with each other all day, every day. I probably have spent more time with these people than I have spent with any other group. So lucky we are all so easy going.
Anyway tomorrow Sarah and I fly out to New York City. We are so excited. This is the next leg on our trip. On our own in the big city. I am a bit nervous but I am sure we will be fine. I will let you all know, when I can!!
Take care, miss you all!!! Jodie xxx |

you are so lucky and I envy you heaps. I so want to go to New York, Instead I have phat camp to look forward to. Not sure if that is good or bad. I saw Sue today at her gym and we did a step class. It was really good but I am not sure about the politics of the place when it comes to Sue. I think they are a bit rough on her. anyway enjoy New York as I am sure you will. Have a wonderful time. kerry, culgoa

Hi Jodie,
We didn't hook up in Ohio but I'm so very excited for your trip around the States!
NYC will be a COMPLETE departure from anything that you've been doing - in Ohio. Make sure to pick up a subway map so you can get around. It's pretty easy IF you have one of those maps to get around.
I know that all those bakeries and dessert shops will tempt you -- be careful of them! They have reallu delicious food in there!! :)
If you want to see a complete difference in people, just look around you while in NYC. The NYC people are soooo completely different from Ohio people! QUITE different in so many ways!
I wish you the best - and am looking forward to your updates.
Lauren Laurel, Maryland (about 3-1/2 hrs by car from NYC)
