We out for dinner last night, we went to a little old Italian restaurant in Akron. Great food and wonderful atmosphere. One of our other team members came along because she has the most boring host family. The go to bed at 9.30pm every night and have made her pay for all of her food. (Which is not supposed to happen). We are very lucky with our host family, they are wonderful to us. They even arranged a private tour of Jacobs Field which is the home of the Cleveland Indians. So we are very excited about that.

I am still having trouble with my work email, I have got further this time but still it is denying me access. So frustrating especially since of the time difference and I can't just ring anyone for help.

Ben is missing me like crazy (as I of him) we are trying to keep in touch as much as we can but it is hard to get our schedules together with him working two jobs and me so busy.

Tomorrow will be a train ride through the National Parks so really looking forward to that........ Then Sunday off to the zoo and get to meet my next host family. Not sure I would be able to top this experience.

Well into my exchange by now, everything is FULL ON as I expected. They have got us going 14-15 hours with all the meetings etc, but I love being so busy. Everyone is just wonderful and so hospitable. Last night went to a pro basketball game, and saw Le Bron James. He plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers and is the league's number 1 player. They are saying he is going to be better than Michael Jordon, and seeing him last night I would agree. It was an awesome game. I have never been to anything like it. The Americans do everything BIG here. I mean everything. Their cars, houses, food, drink and sport. EVERYTHING!!

I am finally over my jet lag, yah. My first host family are WONDERFUL. Their house is amazing, it is two storey and overlooks their own private lake. They are hosting me and another team member and we all have our own bathrooms. I have a KING size bed. I have taken a few pics of their house, but they are just genuine lovely people, who really love hosting people. I hope they come to Australia so I can one day return the favour. They are just awesome.

I have done some shopping but only a little. I got some runners for like $50 US, top of the range. Also got a gap T-shirt for $10US. I bought Ben a basketball Cav's cap, cause they are the coolest team, I am now a converted fan.

I had a vocational day, which was awesome. I met this guy who runs a private health club today, and man is he a visionary. He has this amazing concept about wholistic health and fitness of the mind and body. It was just awesome. I could have talked with him all day.

I have seen so many amazing things here, that I have kept a paper journal just to remember stuff. Something wonderful happpens everyday. This is truly the best ever experience!!!!

Hey Lauren - thanks for your comment, so glad to hear from you. I am having trouble accessing my work emails which has your cell phone number in it. Our IT department are working on it. So hopefully I can catch up. I have very busy day on Friday with a tour of different leisure facilities but will try and let you know. I actually might send you an email from my yahoo account. I am in Medina the last week of my exchange if that helps any (15-22 April).

Hello everyone from the States, we arrived after a horrendous long trip. Four plane trips was just awful. Our last plane was delayed in Chicago for two hours. I currently have jetlag and I am fighting to stay awake during the day and night I am wide awake, I hope this changes soon. We have met so many wonderful, friendly people, they just love us here. There are so many things the same but so many things that are different to home. It is funny our team have already had so many laughs about it all. We met their outgoing team yesterday and they are so excited about heading to Australia, I know how they feel about it all.

I can't get over the food here, it is worse than I thought, definitely a major contributing factor their health problems here. Also the amount of little sport or recreation that ORDINARY people do here is a worry.

The GSE co-ordinators have so much planned for us it is unreal, so many exciting things I can't wait but I won't write about that until we have done it. Will keep you all in suspense. I am keeping a paper diary of each day because I am not sure I will get to blog everyday and I don't want to forget stuff.

Would love to hear from you guys if you are reading along, unfortunately won't have time to check any of fav blogs but know I will catch up when I get home.

I also hope to post some pics as I go along but that will depend on my availability to download pics.... Never fear you will see many shots when I get home also, ha ha!!!

Ok will sign out today and try and keep you up to date as much as I can.
